About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Vice President for Corporate and Investment Banking Senior Control Management. This leadership role is pivotal in the front-line risk management of the corporate and investment banking sector, with a focus on assessing and effectively managing all associated risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a global team and will serve as a key strategic partner to the CIB CEO and CIB Operating Committee. The role involves providing end-to-end thought leadership, ensuring a strong control environment, and early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. The Executive Vice President will also be a key contributor to the Control Management leadership team, maintaining a high-performing risk management and control organization, and will be expected to have a deep understanding of CIB businesses, including investment banking, sales, trading, financing, and research. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of risk management or business controls experience, with at least 5 years' in a management capacity. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding executive communication skills, a deep working knowledge of CIB businesses, and substantial experience in executing risk management programs, particularly operational risk programs. A strong understanding of financial regulations, best-practice risk management techniques, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing risk management organization are essential. The role requires the ability to develop partnerships, provide insight into the regulatory climate, and identify trends that may impact the company's strategic execution. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and the candidate should have a proven track record of ethical integrity and the ability to make sound risk decisions.
