Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Engaging Instruction: Develop and teach dynamic lectures, presentations, and demonstrations covering essential topics such as dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting, dental materials, and more.
Hands-On Training: Lead practical lab sessions where students gain valuable technical skills and hands-on experience, fostering confidence in performing various dental procedures.
Supervise Clinical Rotations: Oversee students during their clinical training, ensuring they follow safety protocols and uphold professional standards in a real-world setting.
Evaluate and Support Student Progress: Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and hands-on evaluations, offering constructive feedback and personalized guidance to help them improve.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest advancements in the dental field and integrate these updates into your teaching practices.
Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to engage, ask questions, and think critically.
Mentorship and Career Guidance: Provide one-on-one support to students, offering advice on their educational and career paths and helping them navigate challenges.
Collaborate with Faculty: Work alongside fellow instructors and college administration to enhance course content, develop new materials, and continually improve teaching strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, techniques, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a way that resonates with students of varying learning styles.
A genuine passion for teaching and helping students achieve their professional goals.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship, nurturing students' development and success.
Flexibility in adjusting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
Current dental assistant certification or licensure is preferred but not required.
Teaching experience or previous involvement in educational roles is a plus.
Basic computer skills are necessary for instructional purposes.
Position Details:
Availability: Day and Evening shifts available, with the possibility of a partial work-from-home schedule.
