Job Summary

As a Welding Engineer, you will develop welding procedures, oversee qualifications, and provide technical support for our manufacturing operations. You will engage with customers, vendors, and internal teams to drive process improvements, ensure compliance with industry standards, and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee welding procedures to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).
• Lead and participate in welding qualifications, testing plans, and the review of results.
• Provide technical support for production welding and collaborate with customers and vendors on technical requirements.
• Analyze designs for welding requirements, ensuring optimal material selection and process effectiveness.
• Support quality assurance by addressing NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians to build team capabilities.
• Split time between office work and the production floor
  
  

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of welding engineering experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited program.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required or willing to be re-certified
• Experience with Titanium is highly preferred
  
  

Skills Needed

• Solid understanding of industry codes (ASME, AWS, API) and welding techniques.
• Proficiency in CAD, GD&T, and reading blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to manage complex projects effectively.
