What You Will Do

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer service-focused individual to join our team to provide professional operations support to the Institutional Training Services (ITS) Group in the Human Resources (HR) Division. The HR-ITS group provides institutional training for new hires and incumbent employees in various areas, including environment, safety, health, and security. The Training Coordinator 2 plays a crucial role in coordinating training activities and providing support to a diverse customer base. Job duties include proctoring, course scheduling, registration, running training status reports, records management, and classroom management. This role requires demonstrating good judgment in problem-solving while working under limited direction.

Minimum Job Requirements:



Administrative Training Support, Organization and Planning:

  • Experience compiling and generating reports.
  • Ability to manage and track information and data using electronic databases.
  • Excellence in organization and planning skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptive to change and tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to take initiative.

Business Systems:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with shared business systems (e.g., Oracle, Google Drive, Teams and Learning Management Systems).

Customer Service/Communication:

  • Demonstrated experience providing quality customer service in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with customers and all staff levels, both internal and external.

Teamwork:

  • Experience working in an organization of diverse operations.
  • Ability to function collaboratively with varying teams.
  • Effective with open communication, shared responsibility, and collective problem-solving to achieve common goals.

Education/Experience: High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years related experience.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of creating, modifying, and scheduling employee training plans.
  • Experience in scheduling and preparing classroom settings.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Working knowledge of standard software applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of common audio-visual and office equipment.

Work Environment:


Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in White Rock, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.


Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 Year.

No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
