Position Summary


The School of Education seeks applications between July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.

Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

Required Job Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in higher education leadership or a related field
  • Demonstrated excellence and experience as a higher education leadership scholar/practitioner/administrator
  • Experience teaching in higher education law, legal issues in student affairs, or related areas
  • At least three years of professional work experience in a higher education setting


Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies
  • Experience with mentoring and advising graduate student scholar practitioners
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and practice
  • Record of scholarship and publication in higher education leadership or a related field commensurate with a research university
