The  Patient Access Representative Associate is r esponsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into a electronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greets and welcomes patient in person
• Collects demographic and insurance information
• Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
• Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results
• Obtains signatures from patients as needed
• Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as needed
• Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues.
• Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department
• May gather medical record information from all departments for collection

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to work on a per diem basis, morning, evening or night shift as the business requires
• Day Shift – 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Evening shift – 2:30pm -11:00pm
• Overnight – 10:30pm -7:00am
• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Flexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requires
• Revenue Cycle Experience
• General office experience

Soft Skills:

• Quality communication skills
• Dependability
