We are seeking a Executive Director, SEC Reporting who is highly motivated and experienced accounting professional that can lead a team and partner with operations to address complex transactions and oversee SEC and other external financial reporting. In this leadership role, you will develop and mentor your team, oversee preparation and filing of financial reporting with the SEC and other external parties, partner with other business functions on projects to address accounting and reporting implications for complex transactions, monitor developments at the SEC and FASB and implement solutions to maintain effective and efficient processes and controls to support external reporting in compliance with applicable standards.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the external financial reporting process, which includes the preparation, review and filling of financial statements, footnotes and other necessary supporting documents for the Company’s quarterly and annual Form 10-Q and 10-K’s, 8-K’s and ProxyLead review of the financial statements with the disclosure committeePreparation of the statement of cash flows and EPS computationsCollaborate closely with the cross-functional accounting teams and external auditors to address technical accounting and reporting matters, drive process improvements, enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and ensure adherence to SEC regulations.Analysis of key financial statement variances and preparation of MD&A and other of key SEC disclosuresResponsible for the preparation of SEC & GAAP checklists.Research, assess and document applicability of new GAAP/SEC guidance and communication to the broader finance team.Preparation of monthly management reporting package.Stock compensation accounting.Key contributor to the company’s finance transformation goals and initiatives, aimed at streamlining/automating all process from record to report and continuous enhancements to the internal control environment.Assist with the SOX documentation processes, including communicating with internal and external auditors for information requests and explanations related to audit requests and internal controls.Champion process improvements and efficiency, leveraging technology as needed to enhance the SEC reporting processes and procedures.Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.Monitor emerging guidance from regulators and financial reporting trends within the industry to proactively communicate impact to leadership.Support special projects as necessary.Mentor and train more junior staff. QualificationsBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience10+ year of experience with minimum 3 years of Big Four public accounting experience working with SEC clients.CPA RequiredStrong understanding of US GAAP, SEC Regulations, and best-practice financial reporting processesExpert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) - Experience manipulating large amounts of data in ExcelStrong technology skills required, including the ability to use tools such as Alteryx to help drive efficiency in previously manual processes.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities while adhering to tight deadlines.Workiva experience a plus Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
