In this role, you will support a team of healthcare providers by assisting with clinical tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow, and delivering an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with nurses and physicians to prioritize and complete assigned tasks while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
Perform various clinical duties, including, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch-walking instruction, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Assist healthcare providers in delivering direct patient care, offering support to individuals with physical or psychological limitations.
Conduct specimen collection, phlebotomy, and point-of-care lab testing following protocol and quality control standards. Communicate test results to appropriate staff and document in medical records.
Safely transport stable cardiac telemetry patients to inpatient units, ensuring proper monitoring, oxygen attachment, and equipment setup under the direction of the emergency department nurse.
Maintain inventory of essential supplies, restocking materials as needed and ensuring all used equipment is properly cleaned and ready for the next patient.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in EMT or Paramedic preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
1-3 years of relevant healthcare experience.
Proficiency with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in EMT, Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (MA) training.
Experience working in an emergency department or a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Nursing students with at least one completed clinical rotation or other direct patient care experience.
One or more years of college education in a medical-related field.

Neonatal (Birth - 6 months)
Youth (6 months - 16 years)
Young Adult (16 - 30 years)
Middle Age (30 - 60 years)
Elderly (60+ years)
Physical Requirements:
This is a highly active role requiring frequent movement, lifting, and assisting patients. Candidates should be comfortable with:
Lifting over 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs regularly.
Standing, walking, and engaging in physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
