Armanino’s Valuation and Financial Modeling (“VFM”) Practice assists start-ups, private and public companies, estates, attorneys, as well as venture capital and private equity firms with business valuation, tangible asset, and custom financial modeling services. Armanino’s VFM team has a track record of delivering industry-leading expertise and value to clients across a wide range of industries and consulting assignments. We are seeking a Director of Business and Financial Modeling to lead and expand this sub-practice, working collaboratively to deliver outstanding client service while mentoring a team of rising professionals. We are looking to add to our wickedly smart team in one of the following locations: the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Irvine (California); Dallas or Austin (Texas); Seattle, (Washington); St. Louis (Missouri); Chicago (Illinois); Philadelphia (Pennsylvania); New York (New York); or Denver (Colorado). Job Responsibilities Practice Leadership Serve as a strategic leader, driving the growth and direction of the Business and Financial Modeling practice. Develop and execute a roadmap for service line expansion, identifying new service offerings and market opportunities. Own and monitor practice performance metrics such as revenue, utilization, profitability, billing, and A/R. Client Delivery Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex financial models, including but not limited to: Integrated operating models Budgeting and forecasting tools (12-week cash flow, three-statement, long-range plans) Transaction models (M&A, buy-side/sell-side analyses) Capital structure and scenario analyses Collaborate with clients and other Armanino practices to identify key value drivers, risks, and opportunities. Ensure client deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and insight. Team Development Train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of financial analysts and consultants. Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and client-centric thinking. Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top talent. Business Development Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and execute go-to-market strategies. Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including referral sources and strategic partners. Represent Armanino at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote the practice and drive business development. Requirements Technical Expertise Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). Minimum of 8 years in financial modeling, corporate finance, business valuation, or related advisory roles. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools (Excel, VBA, or related software) and familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax considerations, M&A strategy and execution, and valuation methodologies. Strong business acumen. Leadership and Communication Proven ability to lead a practice area, including managing teams and achieving growth objectives. Exceptional client communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses to executive audiences. A track record of resolving technical challenges and addressing client concerns effectively. Prior success in leading business development initiatives internally and externally and converting opportunities into long-term engagements. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with private equity, venture capital, and corporate clients on complex financial transactions. Demonstrated success in another national public accounting or consulting firm delivering multidisciplinary projects.
