OVERVIEW:

The Commercial Marketing Manager makes a significant impact on the business by elevating brand awareness and adoption of Biodesix’s clinical diagnostic products (Nodify Lung and IQLung). This role requires a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution, leveraging deep market insights, clinical knowledge, and stakeholder collaboration to drive awareness, adoption, and customer satisfaction of the clinical diagnostics products. Over the past several years, Biodesix’s clinical diagnostics products have experienced tremendous growth in the lung cancer space. This role is critical for accelerating growth of the core business through development, execution, and tracking of marketing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute annual brand plan for clinical diagnostics, including owning messaging, positioning, sales playbooks, and market development activities
  • Craft compelling, differentiated product messaging that resonates with target audiences including healthcare providers, hospital administrators, payers, and patients
  • Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advisory boards, and sales to gather insights and validate messaging
  • Lead the development of brand content including marketing collateral, sales training materials, website content, advertisements, social media, videos, and webinars
  • Create tools that demonstrate the clinical and economic benefit of clinical diagnostics for target audiences
  • Partner with sales to support key sales initiatives, including speaker programs and field rides as necessary
  • Participate in industry technical meetings and society conferences to represent Biodesix, improve brand awareness, establish KOL relationships, and assess emerging market trends
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing to launch product enhancements that impact unmet customer needs and/or barriers to product adoption
  • Monitor industry dynamics and competitive products to support market analyses focused on unmet customer needs and market share trends
  • Develop and track metrics that assess efficacy of marketing tactics

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years industry experience, with at least 2 in healthcare marketing
  • Prior experience in clinical diagnostics industry or pulmonary a plus
  • Proven track record of developing strategic and tactical plans to drive product adoption and utilization
  • BS degree or equivalent
  • Strong project management skills desirable

COMPENSATION:

  • Annual Compensation range $113,400 to $130,400
